Course Overview

This Acrobat Professional course will enable delegates to share electronic versions of documents with others in a format that allows them to view, print, and even review the content, even if they don't have the original software that was used to create the file. In this course, delegates will use Adobe Acrobat to convert documents to PDF files, and will customise PDF files for both their needs and the needs of the reader.

    Converting toolbars into a palette

  • Creating PDF files

    Creating a PDF from Print Menu
    Create a PDF from an existing document, ie Word or Excel file
    Creating PDF from images
    Merging PDFs
    PDF Portfolios
    Convert Web Pages To PDF

  • Modifying PDF Files

    Adding navigation tools
    Thumbnails: adding and removing from a PDF file
    Articles: create, view, edit and delete
    Bookmarks: adding and using to link to another file
    Links: linking to a website, modifying and deleting
    Destinations: creating and modifying
    Creating non-PDF files: RTF format, to an image file
    Adding multimedia elements: sound, movie clip
    Add a header or footer into a PDF
    Add a watermark / background

  • Annotating PDF Files

    Comments and notes: create, modify and delete
    Highlighting toolbar for comments on a PDF
    Remove a highlight from text
    Text edit options
    Pencil tool to select text for comments
    Sharing comments online and adding comments through a web browser

  • Designing and Using electronic forms

    How to create a web ready email response form
    Add a text field to a form
    Buttons on forms: add, modify and delete a button placed on your form.
